DETERMINATION AND REASONS
Proceedings
Miss Adefolarin appeals pursuant to section 68 of the Care Standards Act 2000 against the decision by the GSCC recorded in a letter of the 29th of June 2010 that, in summary, having not paid the £30 fee to renew her registration, she is no longer eligible to be on the Social Care Register.
We have considered all the documents in the bundle as identified in the index. We will not summarise all the evidence, but will summarise that which has been most relevant to the issue for determination.
Evidence
The facts of the case can be summarised very simply. Miss Adefolarin has not paid the relevant fee saying that the attempts made on her behalf to pay have been unsuccessful. The GSCC say they have provided relevant details to enable her to do this via on-line methods as well as by a bankers draft. We have seen all the relevant emails and correspondence between the parties which confirm the efforts made by the GSCC to provide Miss Adefolarin with payment options, including providing a new password on no less than 3 occasions.
Determination of issues
We are satisfied that the GSCC have done everything reasonable and within their power to assist Miss Adefolarin by providing relevant information and payment options. Despite this, Miss Adefolarin has not paid the relevant fee and is therefore not entitled to be on the Social Care Register.
Order
We dismiss the appeal.
